Athletics Ontario has vacancies for this team that we are still looking to fill. AO is currently looking for athletes for Race Walk, Weight Throw, Boy’s Shot Put, and Boy’s Pole Vault. Please send nominations for any of the aforementioned vacancies to: office@athleticsontairo.ca.
#2) Details on a Para Challenge: The Athletics Ontario 2016 Youth Senior Championships is offering an open invitation to para athletes who are keen on competing in the Shot Put, 200m, and 400m events. This opportunity will provide para athletes with an indoor competition, while we await the launch of the 2016 outdoor season. AO is eager to create a team challenge program for para athletes that will be held in tandem with our championships. All entries from para athletes will be free of charge, however, we are asking competitors to email randolphfajardo@athleticsontario.ca with their classification following the completion of their entry form on Trackie. Additional information on this upcoming meet can be found on our events calendar.
#3) Deadline reminder: Please be sure to sign up for the second Athletics Ontario Championships event, which is coming up on February 13th and 14th. The entry deadline for the AO Youth Senior Championships, BMJ Relay and Race Walk with (ON vs. QC) Midget Dual Meet is this Monday, February 8th at 3:00pm. If you are a coach and have already registered to be on to the field of play for the AO Championships event on Sunday, February 7th, please hang on to your Coaching Pass from that first meet, as you can re-use said pass for the 13th and 14th.
