Athletics Ontario would like to invite athletes to participate in an Athlete Testing Workshop for the purposes of creating an athlete database. The data will be shared with coaches and athletes to be used as a tool for training.
Athletes will be put through an array of field tests to assess balance, power, speed, coordination. The testing will not over exert the athletes and they will rotate through the tests fairly quickly, taking no more than five minutes per athlete.
This will also be a great opportunity for coaches to learn more about their athlete’s strengths and weaknesses.
*NEW*Â Based on athlete and coach feedback from our December Testing opportunity we have made a number of changes to the day:
- A shorter overall day: athletes will receive an arrival time slot to reduce wait times and the overall day
- More relevant and user friendly feedback
- Direct alignment with Athletics Canada testing protocols
This opportunity is open to all coaches, bantam, midget, youth and junior aged athletes.
