The Midget Indoor Ontario VS Quebec Dual Meet is fast approaching! Athletics Ontario is now accepting athlete nominations for the competition. Here are the details you will need to know, should you be interested in nominating an Ontario athlete:

Date and Place: The meet will take place at the Toronto Track and Field Centre at York University and will be held in conjunction with the Ontario Youth-Senior Championships. Competition date is set for Saturday, February 13, 2016. The first event starts at 10:00 am. There will be a short team meeting at 9:00 am.

Athletes will be entered as scorers in the events in which they have been selected. With permission of the team staff, athletes may enter other events as non-scorers. The team coaches will decide the composition of the relay teams and the running order.

Age: Athletes born in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 are eligible.

Team staff: The staff will be selected and announced in early February.

Expenses: This is a self-funded project. Selected athletes are responsible for travel, accommodation and food costs, with the exception of lunch, which will be provided on site, at the meet. There is no team fee.

Travel and Accommodation Arrangements: Both are the responsibility of the athletes and their clubs and/or parents. Supervision of out-of-town athletes while not at the competition site is the responsibility of the parent or a club official.

Code of Conduct: All team staff and athletes must abide by the AO Code of Conduct, which is available by clicking on the following link.

AO Registration: Please note that all staff and athletes must be registered for 2016 with Athletics Ontario prior to the meet.

Uniforms (singlets): Team members will receive a red and white Ontario singlet. Athletes who were on last year’s team are asked to use their singlet from that team. Normally, athletes are issued an Ontario singlet for two years.
