We’ve had an incredibly successful start to the 2016 Athletics Ontario indoor track and field season! This past weekend, Athletics Ontario hosted the Youth Senior Championships, Relay and Race Walk Championships with Ontario VS Quebec Midget Dual Meet.

A total of 94 Midget athletes competed in the Midget Dual Meet at the Toronto Track and Field Centre on the York University campus on Saturday. Dual Meet results have been posted on the Athletics Ontario website for your convenience. Once again, Team Ontario would like to extend their congratulations to Team Quebec who won this year’s Dual Meet. The final score, after all was said and done on Saturday afternoon, was 294.50 to 241.50.

In the Youth Senior meet, we had an impressive 601 athletes competing over the course of the weekend. On Saturday, Trinity Tutti of Team GRUNT set a Provincial Record in the Youth Girls Shot Put with a throw of 16.51m. AO would like to applaud each and every one of the Youth Senior athletes who competed at this weekend’s event; all Youth Senior results have been posted on our website for your convenience, as well.

Up next, York University Track and Field Club will host Athletics Ontario’s Bantam Midget Junior Championships and Youth Senior Relay Championships on the weekend of March 5th and 6th. We look forward to seeing you there!
