With more than 1,000 entries, we have an incredible line up of competition. Check out some of the athletes to watch for this weekend:

Crystal Emmanuel
Named Athletics Ontario’s Senior sprinter of the year in 2017, past-Olympian Crystal achieved IAAF Indoor Standard last weekend at the 2018 Hershey Canadian Indoor U18/U20 Championships for her 7.28 second performance in the 60m sprint.

Brittany Crew

Last weekend, Olympian Brittany Crew set a new Canadian record for her round 1 throw of 18.20-metres in the women’s shot put. As we shared prior to our previous Championship, Brittany holds the provincial records both Indoor and Outdoor for women’s shot put and was recently nominated to the 2018 Athletics Canada Commonwealth Games team.

Pierce LePage

Pierce was in attendance for our first Indoor meet which took place in mid-January. He will be a member of Athletics Canada’s 2018 Commonwealth Games team and is the AO Outdoor record holder in the men’s decathlon.

Audrey McCarthy

Last weekend, at the 2018 Hershey Canadian Indoor U18/U20 Championship, Audrey broke the meet record for the youth girls 3000m with a time of 16:18.94. We anticipate that she could break the provincial record once again this weekend, at our meet.

Abdullahi Hassan

Earlier this year, Abdullahi set a new provincial record in the youth boys 600m, with a time of 1:21.72. We are excited to have him registered to compete in the 800m at our meet this weekend.

Cameron Ormond
Cameron is a top seed in both the 1,500m and the 3,000m coming into this event. She has won back-to-back OFSAA cross country championships and holds the AO Indoor Midget Girls 2,000m record.

Sam Hall

Sam Hall was a silver medalist at the 2017 Youth Commonwealth Games, for the youth boys high jump, and he is anticipated to be a top performer in the U18 boy’s high jump this weekend.

Marcus Renford

Marcus is a top seeded athlete for the meet this weekend. He competed in our first Indoor meet earlier this year and finished first in the Men’s Open Long Jump with a final jump of 6.43m. Additionally, he placed first in both the U18 Boys 60m sprint, with a time of 7.10 seconds and the Open Men’s 200m, with a tie of 22.56 seconds.

Ryan Jacklin

Ryan attended our first Indoor meet, in January, where he placed first in the Youth Boys weight throw, with a final throw of 19.77m, leading him to a first-place finish in the event. Last summer he attended our Bantam Midget Youth Championship and took home 4 medals, gold in the javelin, and silver in the discus, shot put and hammer throw.
