The third stop of the National Track League (NTL) circuit has proven to be another successful showing for Canadian athletes.
Cape Breton native and shot put paralympian, Pam LeJean, secured her ticket to the 2016 Rio Paralympics this September with an incredible throw of 4.48 meters. This comes just a week after throwing a personal best at a local track and field meet. LeJean now has the throws she needs to represent Canada at the Rio Paralympics, all that’s left is to show up at the Canadian Selection Trails in Edmonton July 7-11.
Ontario hurdler, Nikkita Holder had an impressive showing, although she finished second to American Cassandra Lloyd, Holder is on track to put together a great performance at the Selection Trial next month in Edmonton, Alberta.
