Position: Athletics Program Coordinator.
Organization: Hamilton Accessible Sports Council.
Location: Hamilton.
Term: Part-Time (12 month temporary contract) flexible schedule. Commencing: September 1, 2017.
Application Deadline: August 15, 2017.
Salary: $7,500 plus expenses.
Program Overview
The Hamilton Accessible Sports Council is dedicated to the development and promotion of accessible sport opportunities for residents within the City of Hamilton and recently received an Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant to test a newly proposed integrated community program model for Athletics.
Responsibilities
Oversee the development and implementation of an integrated community program model for Athletics including PARA Athletics program. A end public events and planning meetings with various community stakeholder groups including resource management of volunteer personnel, recruitment, training, equipment, facilities and report writing.
Experience and Qualifications
Post-secondary studies in sport science or kinesiology, program development experience, NCCP Coaching Certification and interest in working with PARA Athletics would be an asset. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively orally and through written reports.
