When Makenzy Pierre- Webster stepped on the University of Windsor’s track last Saturday she had no idea she was about to make history.
The 15 year-old sprinter with the Durham Gazelles broke the U16 Midget Girls 100m Ontario record, set 34 years ago. With a time of 11.81s and legal 2.0 wind, Makenzy now ranks #1 in Canada for the U20 Junior Girls age division in the 100m sprint.
The skies the limit for this tremendous young athlete and she’s only getting started.
