19 Ontario Athletes Named to IAAF World U20 Championship Team

Today, Athletics Canada announced the 32 athletes selected to compete for Team Canada at the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships, taking place July 10-15, 2018 in Tampere, Finland. Of the selected athletes, 19 are representative of Ontario.

A number of the selected athletes have put on some incredible performances lately. To name a few, Trinity Tutti was a double gold medalist at the Commonwealth Youth Games, and recently set new OFSAA and Interscholastic records in both the shot put and the discus throw; Xahria Santiago won the silver medal at the U20 Pan American Games, and is currently ranked 4th in the world in the 400m Hurdles; and Myles Misener-Daley, an athlete who took home triple gold at the OFSAA Championships, along with a new Canadian Record in the 400m.
