BCA Cross Country Championships Virtual Challenge Nov 27-29

Today BC Athletics has announced a Virtual Cross Country Championships that will be held in place of an “In-Person” Championships. Unfortunately, due to increasing COVID-19 related restrictions, we are not able to host an in-person event for the 2020 BC Cross Country Championships. BUT, in its place, we are excited to announce details for a VIRTUAL Championships that will give an opportunity for athletes across the Province to compete against one another in a virtual format!

Register Today for Just $10!!! Registration closes Thursday, November 26 at Midnight.

ALSO available when you register is the option to purchase a BC Athletics embroidered toque/skull cap for just $20. (IMAGE COMING) These will be mailed out following the event.

Run your race on the weekend of November 27, 28 or 29 and make sure to enter your results before Monday Nov 30th at noon. Participants time will be ranked over the Championship distances / age groups below. Non-members are also invited to participate in this year’s virtual format, for the additional $3 Day of Event fee, but your results will be separate from Members participating in the Championship.

Medals will be awarded to current/eligible BC Athletics members in each category. You must have a competitive, school, limited competitive, or road & trail member to be eligible for medals. Finisher certificates will be sent after the event.

Course

We ask that you run your time over a Cross Country course. Grass or trail, varied terrain, with at least some hill in the course. No road course, no track times, no pavement. Keep it honest!
