Athletics Ontario (AO) today announced the appointment of Melissa Johnstone to the role of Media Relations and Communications Coordinator.
Johnstoneâ€™s experience in brand management, marketing and social media positions her well to promote athletics across the province.
Prior to joining AO, Johnstone worked as a social media marketing consultant, producing content for small businesses. She has also served as an event management consultant at MetLife Stadium. Having completed an internship with Rugby Canada and having served as the social media lead for Laurentian Universityâ€™s athletics department, she is looking forward to once again working in the sport sector.
Johnstone is a graduate of the Sports Administration program at Laurentian University. She is an avid runner and has a passion for photography.
